Sign Of End Times

Written by Rev. H.A. Bergsma
The Roman Catholic Church has declared the year 2000 a Holy Year. This declaration will have a profound impact upon the city of Rome. Rome is expected to be so chaotic and crowded during this "Holy Year" that a microchip has been proposed to help find pilgrims who have lost their bearings. Under the scheme, pilgrims would be given ID cards equipped with a microchip that links them to a central command centre. The card would then enable pilgrims to get help wherever they are. The novel idea, which is to be presented at the Vatican, is the brain child of Salt, the company that manages expressways in Tuscany and Liguria. It is estimated that some 167 million visitors will flock to Rome in the year 2000. Something like 22 million of them will be pilgrims coming specifically to take part in Catholicism's Holy Year celebrations. That spells an average of over 450,000 visitors flowing through the "eternal city" each day. (From an article submitted from the Hamilton Spectator)

This tells us several things É it sure is an end time sign when delusion is spread en masse, É it tells us that pilgrimages are on the upswing again, as they were around the year 1000, É and it tells us lastly not to plan a vacation in Rome anytime in the year 2000!
