Gleanings From The Churches

Written by Rev. J.W. Wullschleger
Monarch, Alberta
In light of the results of a recent survey, the consistory decided to proceed with an addition to their current facility. This decision overrules the previous plan to construct a new building. The consistory makes its hopes known in their bulletin: ÒMay the LordÕs blessing rest upon these plans and may this new sanctuary be a place where His Word is proclaimed and His kingdom promoted for many generations to come.Ó We too, wish the church of Monarch the LordÕs blessing on this undertaking and hope that they will soon have a building that meets the needs of the congregation.

Vineland, Ontario
The Vineland Evangelism Committee has started meetings to fulfill its mandate to equip the congregation for outreach and make available mission opportunities for its members. As the pastor continues his series on ÒEvangelistic Moments from the Gospel of John,Ó the Committee will be putting inserts in the bulletin outlining some of the outreach programs with which the church is involved. The congregation is requested to prayerfully consider how they can participate in these ministries. Although other congregations, no doubt, have various evangelism projects, VinelandÕs example may stimulate others to become more involved. May the Lord bless all these endeavours for the glory of His Name and the expansion of His kingdom!
