Written by Rev. H. Overduin
On August 26th the Herfst family returned to Guatemala from furlough. The Herfsts spent a very busy time visiting the churches, relatives and friends, perhaps not having as much rest as they should have. Rev. Herfst travelled to churches in Ontario, Michigan and British Columbia, preaching and giving presentations of the work in Guatemala. We pray for renewed zeal and fresh energy as they take up their work again in Guatemala. Soon, hopefully in November, a Guatemalan Reformed congregation is to be officially instituted at Cubulco. We rejoice that this is possible.

In June, Christian Relief Workers, John and Connie Otten with their two little girls, spent several weeks with family and friends in Ontario. They are back at work at the Cubulco hospital.

Our Bible Translators, Gary and Martha DeSterke with their two children are getting ready to leave in September to take up the work of translating the Old Testament into the Achi language.

God is richly blessing the work of our mission workers, including that of the radio ministry. Your continued prayers and financial support are much needed, however, especially for the radio ministry, as you can read in the reports.
