IBS Sends Scripture To Victims Of Terrorist Attacks After September 11

Written by Rev. H.A. Bergsma
The International Bible Society (IBS) is giving approximately 78,000 Scripture resources for distribution in New York City and Washington, D.C., to those affected by last week's terrorist attacks. Included in the shipments were "Deeper Still" (booklet in English and Spanish for those who grieve), "When Your Whole World Changes" (booklet in English and Spanish for disaster survivors), Book of Psalms, "Looking Up" (booklet of God's promises for the downcast and discouraged), and Through the Storm New Testament. At the request of the Department of Defense, IBS also donated an additional 5,000 Scripture resources to be distributed at the Pentagon. IBS is making these products available nationwide to churches free of charge. Products can be reviewed and obtained by visiting www.ibs.org or by calling 1-800-524-1588. For those struggling with grief, IBS has developed a special Web site: www.grieving.org. (From Crosswalk)

IÕm just passing on some information that could be of help in Christian outreach.
