Radio Ministry Update

Written by Rev. H. Overduin
Starting June 10, I have succeeded Pastor Neil Pronk as radio minister. So far the work is going well and I am thankful to Pastor Pronk for the training he gave me. It is a privilege to sound forth the gospel of the triune God as revealed in Christ and made known in His holy Word. We do this work looking to God to help us and trusting Scripture verses such as Ecclesiastes11:2 and Isaiah 55:11. "Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days." "So shall My word be that goeth out of My mouth:it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." I appreciate your prayers not only for God's leading and help in preparing the messages but especially also for His blessing upon the word proclaimed, making it "to be the seed of regeneration and food of the soul" (Canons of Dort, 3/4, Article 17).

I want to share some response already received:

"Praise the Lord! To my Christian friend, greetings in the name of Jesus Christ. For the first time I heard your program on WDCX and was blessed with the message on revealing what Jesus Christ is from Genesis to Revelations.Ó (New York).

"I listen to your program over CKNX Wingham every Sunday morning when I am at home, and would really appreciate your sermon on June 10, 2001 -JesusChrist - Old & New Testament. I am over 80 years old É trust God you will remain on the air many more years. God bless each of you in His service" (Hanover).

"Thank you very much for sending the Banner of Truth Radio Broadcast Publications. I have appreciated receiving it over the years. I write to ask if you will take my name off your mailing list. I am having to cut-down on my reading on account of failing eyesight. I trust you will understand. With warmest Christian greetings" (Cheshire).

The radio messages are available by audio on our FRC website. For the month of July a total of 349 sermons were downloaded (including quite a number still from Rev. Pronk). The majority of these are in the United States, but there are also some as far away as Brazil, Singapore, China, Caribbean, and Australia. If you want to listen to a sermon via computer go to There have been a couple of changes with the radio stations and a new schedule is listed.
