Philip Craig Named Editor of Banner of Truth Trust

Written by Rev. H.A. Bergsma
Orthodox Presbyterian, Philip Craig, has been named General Editor for the Banner of Truth, publishers in Edinburgh, Scotland. A graduate of the University of Georgia (BA-English), University of Georgia Law School (JD), and Regent College (MDiv), Craig will select which books, old and new, to present to the Board of Trustees for publication. While maintaining an active law practice in Chicago, Craig did doctoral studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Craig's dissertation on John Own is entitled, "Bond of Grace and Duty in the Soteriology of John Owen: The Doctrine of Preparation as a Bulwark Against 17th Century Antinomianism." Under a cooperative agreement between Trinity and Regent, J.I. Packer of Regent is directing Craig's dissertation. (From Presbyterians Dir.)

As many will know, the Banner of Truth (U.S. address is P.O. Box 621, Carlisle, PA 17013) has provided the Christian world with unparalleled literature of historic Christianity. The well-known Rev. Iain Murray co-founded the Banner of Truth Trust in 1957 and has been its General Editor for many years. May Mr. Craig have the same sense of fine discernment for what has become the standard for Banner of Truth material.
