Jesus said: "Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature, and lo, I am with you alway even unto the end of the world"

This was David Livingstone's text. Here is his testimony:

For my own part, I have never ceased to rejoice that God has appointed me to the missionary office. People talk of the sacrifice I have made in spending so much of my life in Africa. Can that be called a sacrifice which is simply paying back a small part, a great debt owing to God, which we can never repay? Away with such a word, with such a view, and with such a thought! It is emphatically no sacrifice. Say, rather, it is a privilege. Anxiety, sickness, suffering, or danger now and then, may make us pause and cause the spirit to waver and sink. But let this be only for a moment. All of these are nothing, when compared with the glory which will hereafter be revealed in and for us. I never made a sacrifice. Of this we ought not to talk, when we remember the great sacrifice made by Him who left the throne on high to give Himself or us.

Included in this issue is a report received from Nico and Lia Kattenburg. They have settled in Cubulco, Guatemala to assist Pastor Herfst in his work. There is a report from the mission delegates, Rev. Henk Bergsma and Rick Postma, who visited the mission field in March. And last but not least, "Mission Trivia" put together by Peter Luth, the treasurer, which effectively updates you on the results and the needs of our mission work.

We want to thank the Grand Rapids congregation who collected $ 16,500.00 (Cdn.) towards our "challenge" for a pick-up truck. As mentioned before, this expense was not budgeted for. Thank you so much! Those who have been to Cubulco know that a reliable vehicle is necessity.
