Hungarian Reformed Win Court Victory for Schools

Written by Rev. H.A. Bergsma
Representatives of HungaryÕs historic Protestant churches have welcomed a Supreme Court decision to recognize their right of patronage to former Protestant school buildings. The ruling gives them the right to use some municipal buildings which housed Protestant schools before 1948, when the communist government confiscated them. The Debrecen Reformed diocese, for instance, now has 24 Reformed secondary schools, a teacher faculty and two kindergartens. (Gleaned from REC News Exchange and Christian Observer)

The Christian schools appear to have more success in the courts of former communist countries than in the courts of our land!
